Hey Girl Hey!

Hey Sis, My name is Crystal...full name Crystal Jenene Carter. Like so many others, my 2020 was crazy. I dealt with first time pregnancy at 39 during COVID-19, an emergency cesarean, a baby in the NICU for 77 days, pressed pause on my PhD program after 2 years, and took a sabbatical from preaching/pastoring. It was wild—wilder than I’ve ever let on if you know me personally. And though it was rough, I learned a lot, so I want to share what I’ve learned with others. It’s rough out here, so I’m sharing my stories in hopes that it can help someone. This is my life, but I’m not unique. This is happening to so many women, even as I type this. While life has continued to progress, I now have a healthy toddler, but the journey to get here was anything but easy. And if I’m being fully transparent, it’s still hard on many days. But GOD! So, with my sleeping toddler laying on my chest, I’m penning the words to this blog. Here goes....
